Trailer Solutions Financial is a service provider for some of the top lenders in the recreational lending industry. TSF works with the lender on your behalf to facilitate documentation. Being a service provider for these lenders allows our team to provide you with outstanding customer service and a wide range of options for your needs.

The lender’s programs we access are suitable for cargo, utility, dump, flatbed, RV, travel trailer, motorhome, toy hauler, livestock/horse, or marine - including airboats, all terrain vehicle, utility vehicle, personal watercraft, mini excavator, compact truck loader, skid steer loader, mini track loader, small articulated loader, compact tractor, lawn tractor/mower, & backhoe.

PROCESS & FUNDING

Applications received through our secured online portal will result in the fastest processing time. An Analyst will receive your application and work with the appropriate underwriting department to collect rate and term options available. We then relay the options provided by the lender to the applicant directly. From this point, we’re able to facilitate documents and hold the customers hand through completion. The lender sends us the funds at the end of the process and we release them to the dealer/seller within 24-48 hours typically.

CREDIT SCORES

The lender’s programs will vary depending on the type of collateral you’re looking to purchase. The lender’s decisions are based on the applicant’s overall credit risk, not solely on your credit score. The primary lender we work with will review an Equifax report, while the secondary lenders we work with will review an Experian report. To see what options are available to you we invite you to submit an application, allowing our team to work with the lender directly and provide you with specific rates and terms.

DOWN PAYMENT

The minimum down payment required by the lender is 10% of the purchase price, depending on the type of collateral you’re looking to finance. This is ultimately determined by the lender, and could increase depending on your credit risk. The down payment should be paid directly to the dealer/seller and must be paid in full before funds are released at the close of the loan.

TERMS

PAYMENT HISTORY REQUIREMENTS

The lenders we work with require comparable installment history to qualify for this type of recreational loan. An applicant must have a minimum of 18 payments reporting to the bureau.

CO-APPLICANT OPTIONS

In some cases the lenders we work with will consider a co-applicant if the primary applicant does not qualify on their own. When your credit file is reviewed by one of our analysts, if there is an option to add a co-applicant an email will be sent to you with a link allowing your co-applicant to submit their information. The co-applicant must be either a spouse or an immediate family member.

For example; if your credit profile does provide the required payment history, or your debt to income ratio is too high, the lenders may reconsider the loan request if a spouse or an immediate family member is added as a co-applicant.

LIEN HOLDER

Trailer Solutions Financial is not your lien holder. TSF is a service provider for some of the top lenders in the recreational lending industry. Our team works with the lender on your behalf to facilitate documentation. Your lien holder details will be provided to you by an Analyst once an approval is secured. The lien holder is the best point of contact for any payment related questions, and must be listed on your insurance (see Insurance details for additional information).

INSURANCE

Depending on the type of collateral you are purchasing, an insurance binder or a declarations page may be required to submit a loan packet for funding. The policy must be guaranteed or agreed value. Guaranteed/agreed value policies are specifically designed for recreational vehicles and will properly cover the value of the unit you’re purchasing. The lenders will require deductibles be no greater than $500 and the lien holder must be listed exactly as provided.

TITLING AND REGISTRATION

Depending on the type of collateral and loan amount, once your documents have been finalized with the lender, a member of our title department may reach out to hold your hand through your local registration/titling process.

If you are purchasing from an out-of-state dealer and have opted to include sales tax, the check will be mailed to you and a member of our title department will provide assistance in any way possible.

If you are purchasing from an in-state dealership they may handle this for you.

FEES ASSOCIATED

There are no applicable fees associated with any of our affiliated dealers.

There are no upfront fees to submit your application and see what rates/terms the lenders we work with will provide for your purchase. Specific fees vary per state and will be disclosed by the Analyst once your loan request is approved by the lender.

PRIVATE PARTY

We are happy to help with your purchase from a private seller. To begin, we invite you to submit your application, using the Dealer/Seller section to provide the name of contact selling the vehicle. Once your application is processed an Analyst will contact you to review the private party process in further detail. We’ll collect all necessary information and work directly with the seller to schedule the required condition/appraisal reports. Once that’s done we can proceed with loan documents. With proof of down payment, funds are released directly to the seller allowing you to schedule your delivery!

BUSINESS USE

The lenders Trailer Solutions Financial works with do not allow the unit to be used for business use. The lender's programs are specifically designed for personal use and must be titled/registered in a personal name.

REFINANCE / TITLE LOANS

The lenders that we work with do not provide any refinancing or title loan options. TSF accesses programs offered by the lender that are designed specifically for “new” purchases either through a licensed dealer or a private party.

INSPECTIONS/APPRAISALS

Trailer Solutions Financial does not facilitate any pre-purchase inspections, if you wish to have a pre-purchase inspection completed we suggest contacting a third party company. If you are purchasing a unit from a licensed dealer, a collateral verification/appraisal will not typically be needed but in some cases may be required.

If you are purchasing a unit from a private seller, a collateral verification/appraisal will be required. We facilitate this process and can provide you copies of the report for your records. The fee associated will be charged by credit card, and is subject to vary depending on the location of the unit. This process will be reviewed in further detail by your Analyst.
