Trailer Solutions Financial acts as a service provider for a handful of choice lenders who provide personal recreational financing programs. This allows us to provide a wide range of options for your needs.

The programs we access are suitable for cargo, utility, dump, flatbed, RV, travel trailer, motorhome, toy hauler, livestock/horse, or marine - including airboats, all terrain vehicle, utility vehicle, personal watercraft, mini excavator, compact truck loader, skid steer loader, mini track loader, small articulated loader, compact tractor, lawn tractor/ mower, & backhoe.

Please note: All applications are subject to underwritings final decision. Some state restrictions may apply.

PROCESS & FUNDING

We receive applications via fax, email, or through our secured online portal. Our team reviews the request and works with the appropriate underwriting department to produce options available. We then contact the applicant to discuss these options in further detail. At this point, we’re able to facilitate loan documents and hold the customers hand through completion. Typically funds are released within 24-48 hours.

CREDIT SCORES

Programs vary based on the type of collateral you’re looking to finance.

For a cargo, utility, dump, or flatbed trailers, depending on the payment history reporting to your credit bureau, the lenders allow scores from 570+ to be considered. If your score is below 570, please review details on adding a coapplicant. The prime lender reviews an Equifax report while the Subprime lender reviews an Experian report.

For an RV, travel trailer, motorhome, toy hauler, livestock/horse, or marine, depending on the payment history reporting to your credit bureau, the lenders allow scores from 530+ to be considered. If your score is below 530, please review details on adding a co-applicant. The prime lender reviews an Equifax report while the Subprime lender reviews an Experian report.

For a mini excavator, compact truck loader, skid steer loader, mini track loader, small articulated loader, compact tractor, lawn tractor/mower, or backhoe, depending on the payment history reporting to your credit bureau, the lenders allow scores from 600+ to be considered. If your score is below 600, please review details on adding a co-applicant. The prime lender reviews an Equifax report while the Subprime lender reviews an Experian report.

DOWN PAYMENT

The minimum down payment required is 10% of the purchase price, depending on the type of collateral you’re looking to finance. This could increase depending on your credit score and payment history. The down payment is paid directly to the dealer/seller and must be paid in full before funds are released at the close of the loan.

RATES

Rates available vary per program, type of collateral, and loan amount. The offered rate is determined by the underwriting department at the lender. Trailer Solutions Financial works with a handful of choice lenders to provide a variety of options for financing. To determine what rate you’ll qualify for, we suggest submitting an application for consideration.

TERMS

Terms available vary per program and type of collateral, and is determined by the underwriting department. They currently range from 36-240 months. The maximum term allowed is offered based on the dollar amount of the loan after a down payment is considered.

The loans we access are simple interest with no prepayment penalty. Trailer Solutions Financial works with a handful of choice lenders to provide a variety of options for your loan request.

PAYMENT HISTORY REQUIREMENTS

The lenders we associate with require comparable installment history to qualify for this type of recreational loan. An applicant must have a minimum of 18 installment (auto or real estate) payments reporting to the bureau. The installment loan must be an equal or greater value to the requested loan amount.

For example, if you are requesting a loan for $20,000, your credit file must show at least 18 payments on an auto or a real estate loan of at least $20,000.

CO-APPLICANT OPTIONS

In some cases the underwriting department will allow us to consider a coapplicant. Once your credit file is reviewed by a loan officer, if adding a coapplicant will allow us to reconsider the loan request they will provide the option to you at that time. The co-applicant must be either a spouse or an immediate family member.

For example; if you do not have the necessary payment history, or your debt to income ratio is too high, the lenders will allow us to consider a spouse or an immediate family member as a co-applicant.

LIEN HOLDER

Trailer Solutions Financial is not your lien holder. We are a service provider for the lenders we associate with, who do not work with the public directly. Once your Loan Officer has an approval for your request they will provide you with the appropriate lien holder details. The lien holder must be listed on your insurance (see Insurance details for additional information). The lien holder is the appropriate contact for any payment information.

INSURANCE

In some cases, depending on the type of collateral, an insurance binder or declarations page will be required to submit a loan packet for funding. The policy must be guaranteed or agreed value. Guaranteed/agreed value policies are specifically designed for recreational vehicles and will properly cover the value of the unit you’re purchasing. The lenders will require deductibles be no greater than $500 and the lien holder must be listed exactly as provided.

TITLE/REGISTRATION

Depending on the type of collateral and loan amount, once your loan has closed a member of our title department may reach out to hold your hand through your local registration/titling department.

If you are purchasing from a dealer out of state and have opted to have sales tax included the check will be mailed to you at this time and a member of our team will assist in any way possible.

If you are purchasing from a dealership in state, they may handle this for you directly.

FEES ASSOCIATED

There are no costs associated for the dealership.

There is no cost to apply or see what rates/terms we have available for your purchase. There are no upfront fees for the customer with Trailer Solutions Financial. Specific fees vary per program and per state, they are disclosed by the loan officer once the approval is secured for your loan request.

PRIVATE PARTY

We are happy to help with your purchase from a private seller. You’ll want to submit your application as normal. Once your application is processed a loan officer will contact you to review the private party process in further detail. We’ll collect all contact information from you and work directly with the seller to schedule the required condition/appraisal reports. Once that’s done we can proceed with loan documents. With proof of down payment, funds are released directly to the seller allowing you to schedule your delivery!

BUSINESS USE

The programs Trailer Solutions Financial services do not allow the unit to be used for business use. The unit must be for personal use and titled/registered in a personal name.

REFINANCE / TITLE LOANS

The lenders that we work with do not allow us to facilitate any refinancing or title loans. The programs we have access to are designed specifically for “new” purchases either through a licensed dealer or a private party.

INSPECTIONS/APPRAISALS

If you are purchasing a unit from a licensed dealer, an inspection/appraisal will not typically be needed but in some cases may be required.

If you are purchasing a unit from a private seller, a collateral verification will be required. We facilitate this process and can provide you copies of the report for your records. The fee associated is subject to vary depending on the location of the unit, and will be reviewed in detail by your loan officer. The cost will be charged by credit card.
